Just after 9:00 pm Sunday, Brentwood Police and East Contra Costa Fire responded to a report of a two-vehicle crash on Sand Creek Road just west of Minnesota in the City of Brentwood.
The crash shut down the roadway and left four people injured who sustained minor injuries.
According to preliminary information, speed may have played a factor after a vehicle was pulled over on the side of the road after the driver stated he ran out of gas. He was then rear-ended.
Police are still investigating and the driver did pass a field sobriety test after beers fell out of the vehicle when first responders arrived on scene.
No other information was available.

Don’t cars have gas gauges now? There is no excuse for running out of gas!
They are optional, same as turn signals.
Wow, judge much? I guess it’s their fault they got rear ended cause they ran out of gas? We don’t know their circumstances there Mr. J Thor, things happen, do they not? Please do me a favor and leave a post here listing the time n place of the next time you walk on water.
