Just after 5:20 pm Thursday a two vehicle traffic accident shut down Marsh Creek Road near Round Valley Park which caused one vehicle to go down an embankment.
According to the East Contra Costa Fire Protection District, the subject in the vehicle down the embankment had to be extricated from the vehicle and were on scene until about 6:45 pm which shut the roadway down.
According to the CHP website, one way traffic control was in effect by 6:32pm.
As of 6:49 pm, the incident is still under investigation by the California Highway Patrol.
