Brentwood Police Work to Clear Central Avenue of Tumbleweeds

by ECT

With high winds hitting East Contra Costa County, the Brentwood Police Department and Community Service Officers are dealing with tumbleweeds blocking lanes on Central Avenue and Palmilla.

Brentwood Police are currently trying to contain the tumbleweeds to allow traffic to flow in the westbound direction and awaiting for assistance to remove all the weeds which are flying over a retaining wall—some as high as 20-feet in the air.

Photos were taken at 12:45 pm.

Thank you Brentwood. Antioch should be doing the same today with parts of trees and palm trees but they aren’t. No where to be seen and we just drive around the junk and hope we don’t get hit.

The photographer deserves a photo credit. The one with the flying tumbleweed is wonderful.
