Brentwood Police Take Man into Custody After Arming Himself With Bow and Arrow

At 2:45 pm Thursday, the Brentwood Police Department responded to the area of Lone Tree Way and Canada Valley Road in the City of Brentwood for a male shooting a bow and arrow at people.

Police responded to the area where the subject was reportedly near In-n-Out Burger and eventually made his way across the Street to Chevron where he went inside the store and barricaded himself inside. After a short-time, Brentwood Police were able to take the male into custody.

Brentwood Police recovered the bow and area after a search along with several other items.

On 10/21 at approximately 2:10 in the afternoon, Officers responded to In-N-Out on Lone Tree Way for a male that was pointing a compound bow and arrow at vehicles exiting the drive-thru. This male was later identified as Brian DEAN (Pittsburg).

Brentwood and Antioch Officers quickly arrived on scene and were told that Dean walked inside the nearby Chevron and locked himself inside the bathroom.

Officers cleared employees and customers from the Chevron business and began communicating with Dean who was still in the bathroom. Dean voluntarily came out of the bathroom and was safely taken into custody without incident.

The bow and arrow that DEAN brandished was recovered and collected as evidence. We are thankful there were no injuries to anyone. DEAN was transported to the Martinez Detention Facility and booked for suspected being under the influence of a controlled substance and for brandishing a weapon. We would like to thank Antioch PD for their assistance during this incident.
