BRENTWOOD, CA – On Friday, March 11, 2022 at around 4:40 a.m., Brentwood officers responded to the Wells Fargo Bank located at 2540 Sand Creek Road to investigate an audible alarm. While responding to the bank, witnesses reported seeing a “tractor” remove a standalone ATM from in front of the bank.

When officers arrived on-scene, the tractor was gone but caused significant damage to the ATM and building.

Preliminary investigation revealed an unknown suspect(s) used a stolen tractor from a nearby construction site to steal the ATM. The ATM was later found dumped about 100 yards west of the bank and the stolen tractor was found abandoned in an open field at the dead-end of Sand Creek Road west of Highway 4.

The ATM vault was recovered intact, so there was no money loss.
