by ECT

On Thursday, the Brentwood Police Department responded to a report of a man with the gun in the 500 block of Myrtle Beach Drive in the City of Brentwood.

The incident began at approximately 12:00 pm when officers responded to a home to investigate an estranged boyfriend (25 year old male from Georgia) that showed up knocking on the front door possibly armed with a firearm.

According to Brentwood Police, when officers arrived, they safely removed everybody from the residence and advised neighboring residents to shelter-in-place while the investigation continued. Out of an abundance of caution, at their  request, Pittsburg Police Department responded to the scene with their armored vehicle, which was utilized in combination with a police drone to approach the male located in a vehicle in front of the residence.

The male immediately surrendered and was taken into police custody without incident or injury to anyone involved. A firearm was recovered from the vehicle.

The male will be booked at MDF for felony criminal threats and ex-felon in possession of a firearm.

Police said both Pittsburg Police Department and Antioch Police Department assisted in the incident.

Agree! I’m sure he will do the same thing again and maybe the police will have better luck with the elimination.
