On July 28 at around 3:00 AM, Brentwood Police officers were called to a business at the 5400 block of Lone Tree Way for a report of a burglary in progress.

While officers were responding, they received updates that the suspect had managed to steal three or four guns, and had just fled the store.

As soon as officers arrived, they immediately saw the suspect, later identified as 30 year-old Domingo Gasca of Brentwood. As soon as Gasca saw officers he fled on foot, however he was safely taken into custody shortly after. A total of four guns that were stolen from the business were recovered and returned.

Gasca was placed under arrest for burglary as well as being a felon in possession of firearms, and transported to the Martinez Detention Facility.

As of this week, the Contra Costa District Attorney’s Office filed charges against Gasca.
