Brentwood Police Investigating Sunday Morning Fatal Crash

Brentwood, CA – On October 17, at approximately 1:40 am, the Brentwood Police Department officers responded to a solo vehicle collision at Concord Avenue and Bacchini Lane.

When officers arrived on scene, preliminary information revealed a vehicle traveling eastbound on Concord Avenue left the roadway and collided with a wooden split-rail fence. The passenger of the vehicle, a 27-year-old female from Hayward, suffered fatal injuries as a result of the collision.

The driver of the vehicle was transported to a local area hospital with major injuries.

The cause and whether or not alcohol and/or drugs were a factor remains under investigation.

The name of the decedent is being withhold pending notification of next of kin.

Concord Avenue is expected to be closed until 9:00 am for the investigation.

The Brentwood Police Department is asking anyone who may have witnessed this collision to contact the Departments Traffic Safety Unit at (925) 634-6911.

Of course Alcohol or drugs were involved. That street is a race track every weekend. We have complained to Brentwood PD and CC Sheriff several times. All you have to do drive down Concord and see that the fence near the highway 4 sound wall has been taken out several times.

By the way. The fence the car hit is not a wooden split rail fence. It is a simulated wood concrete fence.
