BRENTWOOD, CA – The City of Brentwood announces the retirement of Police Chief Mark Evenson.

Mark proudly served the community of Brentwood for over ten years with his hard work and dedication to the quality of life of its residents. His leadership and can-do attitude will be missed.

Mark successfully brought the Police Department through many years of significant growth in the community and maintained the highest quality of work in policing in a thoughtful way and with great customer service. The City wishes Mark and his family the very best in his retirement.

According to the City, Evenson was hired with the City of Brentwood on October 30, 2006 and has more than 31 years of law enforcement experience. Captain Tom Hansen will continue to serve as acting police chief.
