Brentwood Police Bust Nets 3 Arrests, $211k in Drugs

Brentwood PD

On October 18, 2013 at approximately 6:40 pm , Brentwood Police Department (BPD) Detectives responded to the 4000 block of Roosevelt Drive to investigate a possible marijuana cultivation operation in conjunction with a possible butane hash oil (BHO) manufacturing operation.

The detectives served a search warrant and recovered approximately 70 pounds of marijuana in various stages of preparation for commercial sales, approximately 2.5 ounces of hash oil, scales and equipment associated with marijuana cultivation and the BHO manufacturing operation.

The street value for the marijuana was roughly $210,000.00 and the street value of the hash oil was roughly $1500.00.

Dalton Clark (28 years old, Brentwood), John Jordeson (25 years old, Brentwood) and Josve Encarnacio (35 years old, Oakley) were all arrested at the scene and booked into the Martinez Detention Facility on charges of manufacturing a controlled substance, possession of marijuana for sale and conspiracy.

BHO manufacturing seems to be a recent trend among those who possess large quantities of marijuana. Related to this epidemic are the associated crimes of commercial burglary and theft of large quantities of butane necessary for hash oil production. In addition to the associated crimes, there is an increased threat to public safety due to the volatile nature of the process.

Some jurisdictions have reported explosions caused by an unintentional spark or flame igniting the butane fumes during the BHO manufacturing process.

Please don’t hesitate to contact local law enforcement if you suspect these illegal operations are taking place in your community.

This is an ongoing investigation and anyone with information is encouraged to call Detective Aguirre at (925) 809-7726.

Great job in getting the drugs off of the streets, but there’s a hierarchy, and the top people of this operation need to go down to stop it completely.

Nice bust but the war on drugs is like the war on terror. It will never be won. Probably should focus on the big stuck. I’m kinda of thinking like Nicole on this one. Send in the drones for the top dogs and leave the little ones to drown.
