Brentwood Police Announce Human Trafficking Arrest

by ECT

On December 22, 2021, Brentwood Police Detectives wrapped up an almost five month long human trafficking investigation that led them to the city of Ceres.

With the assistance of Ceres Police Department Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) team, 32-year old Kenneth Rideout (Ceres) was safely taken into custody as he exited his residence. He was wanted for an outstanding no bail arrest warrant issued by the Contra Costa County District Attorney’s Office for human trafficking, pimping, and pandering.

The investigation revealed Rideout trafficked an adult female victim during the majority of 2021. Detectives discovered Rideout was the recipient of thousands of dollars after the victim engaged in prostitution throughout several surrounding counties, including as far south as Santa Clara County and as far north as Placer County.

According to police, a search warrant was served at Rideout’s residence, where Detectives located over $4,500 and a loaded unregistered 9MM semi-automatic pistol. Rideout, who has prior felony convictions, was prohibited from possessing the firearm. He was transported to Contra Costa County and booked into county jail. Because of the severity of the crimes, he remains in custody without the possibility to bail.

Hopefully someone can pimp and pander him once he gets sentenced.
