Brentwood Police and East Contra Costa Fire Warn About Fireworks Ban

by ECT

BRENTWOOD, CA – The Brentwood Police Department and the East Contra Costa Fire Protection District help educate the public about the dangers of fireworks and the ban on the possession and use in Brentwood.

Throughout the month of June, the two departments have been working together alerting the public about the Fireworks ban. Banners have been placed around the city as well as other unincorporated areas within Contra Costa County.

On July 4th, Police and Fire will have additional officers and Fire Marshals to enforce violations.

The Departments have put together a Public Service Announcement video to further spread the word about the use of illegal fireworks

If residents see any fireworks violations, they are encouraged to call the Brentwood Police Department’s Non-Emergency number at 925-809-7911.

Very disappointing to see that Antioch has not taken the steps needed to increase the safety of residents and their property. We’ve seen very serious damage from fires and have endured ridiculous noise levels going on constantly. We are lagging behind other cities in being proactive.

Oh yes! Lots of luck! These shitbags don’t care if their explosives set your house on fire! Cops just can’t keep up but something must be done. What might help is catching them and taking care of the problem “on the street.”
