Kudos go out to the Brentwood Police Department this morning after they put out a Press Release yesterday evening regarding a hate crime that occurred in Brentwood Thursday morning.
According to the release, they will be throwing all available resources to finding a suspect and apprehending those involved. Below is the official release.
Brentwood PD: Racist Graffiti
On July 25, 2013, at approximately 10:15 am, Brentwood Police officers responded to the 70 block of Lexington Court to investigate vandalism at a vacant home that occurred during the night. Further investigation revealed the home was occupied by an African American family where vandals spray-painted racist slurs and symbols on the garage door and driveway. In addition, officers discovered some shrubs along the sidewalk in front of the home had been burned.
The Brentwood Police Department will not tolerate this type of heinous crime. We are dedicating all available resources to apprehending those involved and will work closely with the community to develop and investigate every possible suspect lead.
This is an ongoing investigation and anyone with information is encouraged to call Detective Aguirre at (925) 809-7726.
