Just before 7:00 pm Friday, the East Contra Costa Fire Protection District responded to a report of a vehicle versus pedestrian accident at Empire & Lone Tree Way in Brentwood.

Upon arrival, Engine 93 found a 62-year-old male down under his car in the parking lot of AM-PM gas Station.

Initial reports per radio traffic were that this vehicle ran over the subject causing severe chest trauma with the vehicle being his own and the subject was having trouble breathing.

In response, a medical helicopter was quickly requested as the man was in critical condition and airlifted to John Muir Medical Hospital.
