Brentwood: Man Airlifted After Being Stabbed at Park and Ride

At 4:00 pm Monday, the Brentwood Police Department and East Contra Costa Fire Protection District was dispatched on a report of a stabbing at the Brentwood Park and Ride on Walnut Avenue in the City of Brentwood.

Upon arrival, Battalion 5 requested a medical helicopter continue to the scene based on stab wounds to the victim.

According to preliminary information, the subject stabbed was a transient and occurred on BART property which BART police will take over the investigation. Brentwood Police were one scene and secured the area.

The subject is known by police and is currently not in custody. Its unknown if this is related to the homeless encampment or not.
