Brentwood: Kitchen Fire Quickly Knocked Down Due to Alert Bystander

An alert bystander at a home in the 800 block of Antelope Terrace in the City of Brentwood called 9-1-1 just before 8:00 pm Monday when they spotted flames and smoke coming from a home.

East Contra Costa Fire Protection District firefighters arrived on scene to locate a home charged with smoke coming from an unknown location–they called it a working fire.

By 8:06 pm A short-time later they deemed the fire was out.  By 8:20 pm, Battalion Chief 5 confirmed the fire was out with no extensions. No one was home at the time of the fire, however, it was reported that all animals inside the home were accounted for.
