Brentwood: Infant Injured After Grandmother Falls, Airlifted to Children’s Hospital

At 11:44 am Saturday, a one-year-old child was airlifted to Children’s Hospital in Oakland after a fall in the 2400 block of Sand Creek Road in Brentwood.

According to Battalion Chief Brian Helmick, fire crews arrived on scene at Payless Shoe Store in Brentwood where they located an unresponsive 1-year-old child that hit its head after the grandmother fell with the infant in her arms.

AMR and firefighters provided patient care and the infant was transported by air ambulance to the hospital for additional treatment.

No additional details were provided about the condition of the infant.
