Brentwood: Indecent Exposure Suspect Apprehended After High-Speed Pursuit

BRENTWOOD, CA – On September 02, 2015 at approximately 9:55 a.m., Brentwood officers responded to the Walgreens parking lot (4520 Balfour Road) to investigate a person suspected of being involved in previous incidents of indecent exposure. Officers contacted George Davis, male, 59 of Bethel Island seated in his silver Ford Ranger pickup.

Davis was uncooperative and refused to exit his vehicle for further questioning. Davis fled the scene in his pickup nearly striking a uniformed officer before exiting the parking lot.

Photo by Eddie MarcelDavis led officers on a 22 mile pursuit that ended on Highway 4 in San Joaquin County, west of Stockton. Upon exiting his pickup, Davis armed himself with a metal baseball bat, but surrendered peacefully after several minutes. A search of his vehicle revealed a loaded firearm that was never brandished.

Davis was booked into the Martinez Detention Facility charged with felony evading a peace officer, assault with a deadly weapon on a peace officer (using vehicle), possession of a loaded firearm, and assault with a deadly weapon (baseball bat).

Davis was not injured and no innocent civilians or property was harmed during the pursuit. Davis was positively identified as the suspect in the previous indecent exposure.
