At 12:40 pm Saturday, the East Contra Costa Fire Protection District responded to a report of a head on collision on Brentwood Blvd. near Sellers Avenue in the City of Brentwood.
Engine 59 arrived on scene reporting a pickup versus small sedan with heavy damage. At least one person was trapped in the sedan who was in and out of consciousness.
A medical helicopter was requested, however, due to weather they declined. Engine 59 requested a total of four AMR units to the scene as one person was critical while three sustained moderate injuries for a total of four patients at the scene.
