At 9:30 pm Tuesday, the East Contra Costa Fire Protection District was dispatched to the 600 block of Capilano Drive off Presideo in the City of Brentwood for a report of a vegetation fire.
It was reported that fireworks started three separate spot fires which grew to an estimated 1/3 acre. A vehicle was also observed speeding off quickly after the fire broke out.
By 9:37 pm, Battalion 5 reported an 1/8 acre with steep slope and slow spread and by 9:42 pm, the fire was out.
Brentwood Police were also dispatched to the incident.
