Brentwood: Female Transported After Sustaining 2nd Degree Burns

At 4:54 pm Tuesday, East Contra Costa Fire Protection District firefighters responded to a report of a commercial structure fire in the 1200 block of Central Blvd in the City of Brentwood.

It was reported that Tupperware was on fire and a female had sustained burns. A short-time later, the sprinkler system kicked on which put out the fire.

Engine 59 arrived on scene and confirmed the fire was out, however, a female sustained 2nd degree burns to her body and smoke inhalation. They requested a medical helicopter which was to land at Liberty High School.

Update
After landing, CALSTAR was cancelled as they opted for a ground transport.

Update # 2:
ECCFPD reporting the female resident sustained burns to her leg and was transported to a local hospital by AMR.  Two apartments suffered water damage from fire sprinkler operation.
