Brentwood: Female Crashes Vehicle into Building on Sand Creek Road

by ECT

At 4:01 pm Monday, a female crashed her vehicle into the State Farm Insurance office on Sand Creek Road in Brentwood.

The driver accidentally accelerated after thinking she was in park and her foot was on the brake. She hopped over the curb and went into the building.

The driver and employees at State Farm were not injured in the crash however, we were told an employee who sits in the spot where the crash occurred went home at 2:00 pm as they are a part-time employee on Mondays.

Brentwood Police were able to get drive the vehicle in reverse out of the building and a tow truck was requested.

The East Contra Costa Fire Protection District fighters were on scene to check for injuries and the structure for immediate dangers. AMR was also on scene.
