Brentwood Equity Forum Moving Forward, Announces Forum Members

by ECT

In response to a national debate that is trickling down into local communities, residents have taken steps to move forward with its Brentwood Equity Forum. This week, they announced members of the Brentwood Equity Forum.

The goal of the Brentwood Equity Forum is to actively engage the community and create a safe space for Brentwood leaders and stakeholders to encourage authentic conversations around diversity and inclusion opportunities to effectuate positive changes that fosters respect, trust, inclusivity, and equity in the community so that all community members feel valued and welcomed.

The forum is aimed at becoming a sounding board of opinions and public input, subject matter experts presenting on best practices, community activities reinforcing these ideals, and with the committed leadership of agency/non-profit stakeholders able to return to their respective bodies to influence policy and effectuate positive change in the community. Discover ways to acknowledge and track what is working well to avoid duplicating efforts.

This forum comes years after the City had a Brentwood Diversity Committee in response to incidents over the years.
