At 5:57 am, a two-car T-bone accident on Sellers Ave. in Brentwood pinned two victims into a car which required East Contra Costa Fire Protection District crews to cut the roof of the vehicle allowing for extrication.
Engine 59, 52, CHP, AMR CAL-STAR all responded to the accident.
One patient was transferred via ambulance to Sutter Delta while the other was transferred by medical helicopter to John Muir Medical Center in Walnut Creek. The driver of the second vehicle refused medical treatment.
The cause of the accident is still under investigation.
