Brentwood: Driver Airlifted to Local Hospital After Striking Pole on Sellers Ave

At 12:50 pm Friday, the East Contra Costa Fire Protection District was dispatched to a report of a solo vehicle crash after a vehicle struck a pole on Sellers Avenue near Morningside Street in Brentwood.

It was reported by the California Highway Patrol that the driver of a white pickup truck with a camper was trapped and not responsive. A medical helicopter was attached to the call.

AMR arrived on scene and reported that PG&E was on scene who said it was not safe to approach the vehicle.

By 1:05 pm, Battalion 5 confirmed a medical helicopter would be required which Engine 59 would be the ground contact. By 1:11 pm, it was reported the driver was free and being transported by AMR to the air ambulance for transport to a local hospital.
