Brentwood: Dodge Charger Strikes Guard Rail on Highway 4 near Balfour

Just before 1:00 pm Tuesday, the East Contra Costa Fire Protection District and the CHP responded to a report of a vehicle crash on westbound Highway 4 between Marsh Creek Road and Balfour after a red Dodge Charger collided with the guard rail.

The crash left debris spread across lanes of traffic which were blocking the roadway. It was also reported the vehicle was speeding prior to the crash.

Engine 52 arrived on scene at 1:05 pm reporting the vehicle was off the roadway.  It was reported that there was a total of three patients, however, two were released at scene and one person sustained minor injuries.
