On Wednesday at 1:10 pm, the East Contra Costa Fire Protection District firefighters were dispatched to a report of a fire in the 2800 block of Anderson Lane in the City of Brentwood.
It was reported that a structure caught fire after a vegetation fire spread towards a home. The fire was accidentally started while a worker was cutting down a cypress tree which caught grass on fire.
No injuries were reported and crews were able to limit fire damage to the home. Crews were on scene for 2-hours.
