Brentwood City Council to Discuss Planning Commission Appointments

by ECT

On Tuesday, the Brentwood city Council will discuss making two new appointments to the planning commission by appointing Emily Cross and Seana Fippin while reappointing Cyndi Hankins.

After both Mayor Bob Taylor and Vice Mayor Joel Bryant interviewed 17-candidates, they opted against re-appointing Jodi Marfia and Jamie Tobin.

According to the agenda, if the council approves the recommendations, the trio will serve in the role of planning commissioner through Dec. 31, 2020 joining John Fink and Dirk Zeigler.

Over the past year, the Planning Commission has tackled a variety design reviews, land-use changes, to topics from a potential Goodwill Store, Priority Area-1, to the 29-acre Cowell Ranch Project (140 homes)

Some upcoming issues include the Planning Area-1 (Development Stage), Deer Ridge-Shadow Lakes Proposal, Brentwood nearing build out and potential discussions of the urban limit line.

Please stop allowing more developers to come into Brentwood and build more homes. Our small town charm is gone. The bigger cities get, the more crime they get. It’s inevitable. Brentwood has grown too much and way to fast. All my neighbors are leaving Brentwood as they retire.
