Brentwood City Council Set to Interview Planning Commissioner Applicants

The Brentwood City Council will meet Wednesday afternoon during a Special City Council Meeting to interview and appoint applicants to the Brentwood Planning Commission.

Back in January, Mayor Joel Bryant had recommended Emily Cross, David Dolter, and Faye Meloney for two-year terms. Their term would expire Dec. 31, 2022.

The recommendations were held off as the council had the desire to have a process for selection be more formal, rather than the mayor simply appointing applicants—with Councilmember Jovita Mendoza requesting a future agenda item to work out the process.

The council ha since met and decided on a process to conduct interviews for the commission applicants. They also have narrowed the list to the following:

  1. James Daniel Barnett Jr.
  2. Derrick Bullington (formally has since withdrew)
  3. Emily Cross
  4. David Dolter
  5. Faye Maloney
  6. David Sparling
  7. Sanziana Todor

A total of 3 seats are available for appointment.

The meeting will begin at 4:00 pm Wednesday. Public comments can also be submitted via e-mail to [email protected]
