Brentwood: Bicyclist Struck by Vehicle Airlifted to John Muir Trauma Center

At 4:19 pm Thursday, East Contra Costa firefighters responded to Balfour Road near Armstrong Road for a vehicle that stuck a bicyclist.

According to Battalion Chief Brian Helmick, firefighters arrived to find an altered adult male suffering from head trauma on the ground after being struck by a vehicle. His condition was listed as “moderate” injuries.

The bicyclist was flown by medical helicopter to John Muir Trauma Center in Walnut Creek.

The traffic accident is currently under investigation by the Brentwood Police Department.

Actually that’s EXACTLY how you describe someone that is altered, his mental status was ALTERED. Which mean it was anything but baseline. Just because you don’t know the correct terminology doesn’t mean you should place the blame on the author.
