Update 1:05 pm

Per the family, they called 9-1-1 from a cell phone which was re-routed two or more times before it got to Brentwood Police. They say the call never came in as a “fall” and he was not unconscious for as many as 8-minutes as reported by Engine 93 via radio traffic.  The family says he left the home saying his name and was awake.

A 32-year Emergency Room nurse was on sight and she was the one who cared for the boy immediately. He was taken to children’s hospital where they watched him over night and is doing fine.

The family also says the police did take a report but it’s not an “on-going investigation” as stated by the Battalion Chiefs Report saying it was never reported as anything other than him going under in a pool and he was being watched at the time. At the time it appeared he was playing to those on lookers. As soon as they saw he was not he was grabbed quickly from the pool where he was treated by the nurse.
