Bay Point: Man Dies in Hospital, Shooting now a Homicide Investigation

A shooting that occurred in Bay Point on Sunday night is now being treated as a homicide after the victim was declared deceased at the hospital.

The victim is identified as 18-year-old Harley Crawford, who resided in Bay Point and Oakley.

On Sunday at about 10:57 PM, Deputy Sheriffs were dispatched to a report that someone was shot in the area of Anchor Drive and Riverside Drive.

Deputies arrived on scene finding Crawford in a vehicle suffering from a gunshot wound. He was taken to a local hospital.

Detectives immediately launched investigation that included canvassing the neighborhood, conducting interviews and working with other law enforcement agencies in the area.

MsPatriots. This is nothing new for Shore Acres. 50 years ago and more it was all the time. Every day. I know I lived there. So I moved to peaceful Antioch and it has turned into the same thing. I should have listened to my mother.

Tonight there was another shooting on the freeway. Something needs to be done before more lives are lost.
