In an effort to assist the community, Bay Area Distilling Company out of Brentwood announced it is opening up its facility for people to fill up their bottles with hand sanitizer.
According to Donny LaFlamme, they are hosting three days where people of the community can bring up to an 8-oz bottle to refill with hand sanitizer which they have made at their facility.
LaFlamme highlighted how with the shelter in place and the slow down in the economy, they could not keep making so much alcoholic drinks, that they wanted to produce something that could help everyone in the community.
“We decided to set up our production area and do something that the community can imminently use. I had a reserve tank for vodka and going to proof it down, but I decided instead of more vodka, I wanted to donate it for hand sanitizer. I wish I could provide bottles but everyone is out which is why people need to remember to bring their own 8-oz bottle,” explained LaFlamme.
Bay Area Distilling Company anticipates another giveaway in two-weeks, but urges people to subscribe to their newsletter to stay up to date should timelines change.
