On Saturday at 9:50 pm, BART police report that a male juvenile with Downs Syndrome reported being sexually assaulted at the Pittsburg BART station.
The incident occurred in the station restroom by an adult male suspect who followed the victim inside. Officers responded and detained the suspect.
The victim was transported to Kaiser Hospital in Vallejo for examination of possible sexual assault.
The suspect, who was not identified, was booked at the Martinez Detention Facility for committing lewd acts on a child/dependent person.
