Asm Frazier: Lillian Pierce of Brentwood Named as 2014 Woman of the Year

Sacramento, CA – Assemblymember Jim Frazier (D-Oakley) has named Lillian “Lill” Pierce of Contra Costa County as Woman of the Year for the 11th Assembly District.

For more than three decades, Pierce has been an active member in various groups that help promote and preserve East Contra Costa County’s agricultural heritage, business interests and history. She has also been a strong supporter of educational, public health, and social service programs that benefit regional, non-profit organizations in Contra Costa County. Chief among Pierce’s philanthropic work is her dedicated service to the Brentwood Regional Community Chest, where she serves as Board Secretary. Since its founding in 1968, the Community Chest has aided nearly twenty thousand families from Brentwood, Byron, Discovery Bay, Knightsen, Oakley and Bethel Island.

Frazier will recognize Pierce as an exemplary Californian woman on Monday, March 10, at the California State Capitol.
