On Thursday at approximently 4:18 am, Contra Costa County Fire Protection District responded to a water-flow alarm at Applebees in the City of Antioch.
Upon arrival, CONFIRE confirmed smoke coming from Applebees (2737 Hillcrest Ave) where after completing an initial check of the building, located a broken window with the sprinkler system activated.
By 4:35 am, CONFIRE stated there was no active fire and that a gas can was located between the street and bushes. he Antioch Police Department was also requested to the scene.
The restaurant is currently closed and its unknown when it will reopen.
No other information on the incident has been released and no injuries were reported in the incident.
