Antioch: Woman Injured in Costco Parking Lot Crash

by ECT

At 12:32 pm Thursday, first responders received a call at Costco in Antioch on Verne Roberts Circle for a report of a vehicle versus pedestrian in the parking lot.

Upon arrival, Contra Costa County firefighters and Antioch Police located a vehicle on its side and an elderly woman who was pulled from the vehicle with injuries.

The woman reportedly came around a corner and hit the side of one car after thinking she hit the breaks but instead her foot was on the accelerator and flipped the vehicle on its side crashing into multiple parked vehicles.

Firefighters and AMR provided on scene care to her before transporting her to a local hospital. No further details have been provided.

Editors Comment – shout out to Costco staff for a quick response while ensuring emergency responders had enough room to work by providing additional crowd control.
