Antioch: Two Alarm Fire Response After Trees Catch Structures on Fire

Just before 6:00 pm Sunday, the Contra Costa Fire Protection District was dispatched to a report of two trees on fire in the area of 1700 block of Magnolia Way in the City of Antioch.

Upon arrival, Engine 81 reported trees had caught a duplex on fire while another tree was catching a structure on fire Springwood Street. A second alarm was requested as embers were flying around the neighborhood.

Antioch Police were requested for traffic control.

By 6:08 am, a fire was knocked down on Dogwood Street, however, other fires were still on going in the area.

As of 6:24 am, the fires were under control and at least 3 rooftop fires were knocked down while two other fires involving structures were knocked down.
