We had several neighbors out in the street last night watching the helicopter circle for over 30 minutes. we never feel safe near Knoll Park where crime is always problem. So sad with us to take family members there when they we’re visiting from out of town, but no more……..

I used to live by carmen dragon elementary, off County Hills. I bought the house when it was new (lived there about 17 yrs until 2011, all of the area was filled with young families, their dreams and hopes it was too close to perfect we had block parties a neighborhood watch (although we never had any crime that I can remember,) everyone’s kids grew up together, we helped each other and took care of our homes. Then the nightmare came,” the real estate crisis “, those who didn’t sell when the market was good, eventually lost their homes or moved out of the neighborhood. Then section 8 took over many of the foreclosed homes, there were houses vacant for years, in 3 to 5 years the American Dream was becoming the American Nightmare.

I’m all for housing assistance for those who are trying to get ahead or in need or taking advantage of the opportunity to change themself. Such a privilege should Not be for, chronic freeriders and poor me boo hooers the county needs to screen tenants better and get rid of the trash that is bringing down property value and destroying a homeowners feeling of a safe haven for their kids, it’s not right!! get the losers ands criminals out and give the housing to those more deserving who have pride in their surroundings. put all the thugs and wanna be gangstas in houses built on top of a landfill garbage dump let the stench fill their senses until they realize the stench is really the garbage that they are and they need to clean the garbage out of themselves and become a good contribution to the world not a burden to a world that wants to help but it does take patience, it’s not all about now, it’s called wait never give up and hopefully prosper, happiness is the Key>who can be happy if they don’t fit!
