Antioch Recharges With New Supercharging Station

by ECT

Antioch, CA – A new Tesla Supercharger Station is open in Antioch, in the Target parking lot on Lone Tree Way.

The station infuses Antioch with even more opportunity. Joining a global charging network of 1,441 locations and counting, the new station will encourage travelers and locals to plug in while exploring the Slatten Ranch shopping area and other local businesses. The station will include 10 Tesla Superchargers and 4 ChargePoint chargers.

“We are very excited about this wonderful innovative technology being added within our city limits,” says Kwame P. Reed, Antioch Economic Development Director. “While drivers are waiting, they can grab a cup of coffee and explore other retail opportunities in the area. Our City slogan is ‘Opportunity lives here.’ Now we can say ‘Opportunity recharges here,’ as well.”

You can learn more about the new Tesla Supercharger by visiting www.tesla.com/supercharger.

This is all fine and good. But really, Kwame Reed is patting himself on the back for this ?????? This is NOT an achievement …. An achievement will be when Reed gets a large employer to base their operations here in Antioch where most of the employees live, rather than making them leave their house at 430 in the morning to return home at 700 at night. That will start the economic machine working here in Antioch.

Is Mr Reed taking credit for this? Big deal. He has still done nothing for Antioch.
