Antioch Police Wrestle Gun Away from Subject Resisting Arrest

APD

On Saturday October 4 at roughly 11:48 am, Antioch Police responded to a family disturbance on Swallow Ct. where a female with a warrant ran from police.

Police immediately began searching for the female who ran into yards and was hopping fences and made her way onto James Donlon Blvd. While police were conducting a yard-to-yard search, the female reportedly called a friend to come pick her up. Police located the female who then got into a Camaro.

Before the vehicle could take off, police pulled it over on Hummingbird and Killdear off James Donlon.

According to Antioch Police, the driver was cooperative where they found the female hiding in the backseat. The 18-year-old female was removed from the vehicle and was arrested.

As police began to further investigate, the male passenger, 20-years-old, refused to cooperate with officers commands saying his leg was injured and could not move without his cane. Two police officers then carefully removed the man who immediately began over-dramatically screaming at the officers that he was in pain.

The man then began ignoring more than two-dozen officers’ commands as they tried to get him in handcuffs. The officers then said they felt something in his pocket and realized the man had a gun.

Three officers then wrestled with the man for nearly 5 minutes before taking him into custody and removing the gun from his waistband.

Antioch Police would not confirm the gun type, but the gun appears to be a Mack-10. Police did say the man with the gun has a criminal history that prevents him from allowing him to be in possession of a gun. He was arrested on a firearm charge.

No further information was provided.

Most people conceal a 9mm or a .380, but this wannabe thug had a Mac-10!! Grateful that no officers were injured. Put these thugs away 1 thug at a time. The chick almost forgot her hair!

Does anyone notice the photo of the officer standing at the car. Within inches is a Mack10 and does not even know it. At any point, the subject could have shot the officer and others before taking off. Anyone else realize had the man attempted to get away he would have been dead or a police officer shot or killed? Scary!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Antioch Police, thank you for your service.

Looks to actually be a Mac (no K) 11, in .380 ACP. Too short to be the .45 Mac 10 or the 11/9. Of course there was drama involved, and all the witness’ will say police brutality. Here’s a hint people it isn’t pillow fights out there, it’s real world someone may get hurt.

Nasty little weapon there. Nice to get that off the street along with the scum that had it. Antioch PD use to be protecting just a normal city. The PD is in a constant war zone now. Where is the state and county at on this? The City deserves some help from them because of the state and county financial aid sent to the THUGS. I bet that gun was bought with welfare dollars. If not, it was bought with dope sale money that began with welfare money. APD works hard for the pay. Great Job.
