The Antioch Police Department responded to two unrelated calls early Thursday morning where no one was injured, however, the suspects entered two separate homes and  remain at large.

At roughly 8:45 am, Antioch Police responded to the 2200 Block of Sycamore where a victim was house sitting when two men broke open a door and pointed a gun at her. The two men took a television and a purse. The victim was unharmed and the two men fled the area and were not located after an area check.

Earlier in the morning, police responded to a burglary attempt at a home on the 200 block of Hillside Rd at 7:30 am. The resident of the home woke up to the sound of a loud “crash”. Upon seeing the resident, the subject fled the scene. The resident was not injured and it appears nothing was stolen from the home.

According to Tarra Nissen of the Antioch Police, both incidents appear to be unrelated other than both subjects entering through the front door.

No further information was provided on either incident.

Are they sitting there laughing at this? Seriously they are not but a bankrupt city, as the city manager has made very clear, has no money to do more with.

Now I fully understand why someone posted this on a blog:

“Antioch is where the criminals are protected and garbage elected”

Criminals thrive in Antioch. Interestingly, part of the reason why is because there are even more idiots in this city that put up with it. Moreover, with the propensity for white guilt, they would rather be killed instead of pointing out the city’s gross demographic statistics.

It seems to be getting worse every day. Something needs to change.
