The Antioch Police Department reports that it conducted a traffic proactive traffic enforcement and a detail that resulted in traffic stops, citations, towed vehicles, recovered firearms and an arrest made on Friday night.
The detail was in response to last weekends sideshow. Police reported the following statistics from the operation:
- over 50 vehicle stops were conducted,
- over a dozen citations were issued,
- 5 cars were towed,
- 2 guns were recovered and,
- 1 arrest was made.
Police said they worked Friday to help prevent sideshows and will continue to work on preventing sideshows in the city through the weekend.

Thank you for all you do APD! With the lawlessness going on in Antioch, the APD is continuing to serve their community.
I’m sure that this would be effective in the long run if they could do this once a week, different locations, different days.
