A Press Release went out over the weekend that highlighted the nice work done by Antioch detectives and how tips really do help police. The Antioch Police Department followed up on a lead and made an arrest on Friday afternoon in connection with the Hudson Ct. homicide case from Friday, May 17.

If you recall, last Friday police responded to calls of a dead body at the 3400 block of Hudson Ct. Officers arrived to the scene and made the determination the 22-year-old African American male had been shot.  The victim had been there since the early morning hours.

The suspects name has not yet been released; however, the suspect was booked into Martinez Detention Facility on homicide charges. The case is now under review with the Contra Costa County District Attorney’s Office.

Anyone with information regarding this case should call detectives at the Antioch Police Department at 925-779-6895.

Body Identified:
Authorities said Nyjeah Jenkins, 22, was the man found near a fence on the edge of the property at the Hudson Townhouse Manor apartments just before 8 a.m. Friday.
