Antioch Police Catch Two Residential Burglary Suspects

by ECT

Antioch Police were giving credit to the public Wednesday afternoon after a tip led them to a burglary in progress on Cavallo Road where two of three suspects were taken into custody.

Based off a tip, Antioch Police quickly responded to Cavallo Road and set up a perimeter where they caught two of three suspects in the burglary. The two suspects were caught on Woodland Dr. as they were running from the scene of the crime. Police took both men into custody without incident.

A neighbor reported three males were breaking into a home and appeared to be 16-17 years old. The reporting party gave some descriptions that helped police positively identify the suspects. Although a firearm was possibly used, police say that has not been confirmed.

Police also stated both subjects were adults. Since the incident is still under investigation, no suspect information was released. Police also did not release any information about a third suspect.

Lieutenant Don LaDue thanked the community for having eyes on the situation to lead police to where the burglary was occurring and where the suspects were headed. He says when people reporting crimes stay on the line and break information as its happening it makes all the difference in the world sometimes.
