On Saturday November 5, at approximately 2:08 pm, Contra Costa County firefighters were dispatched to a motorcycle crash on Hillcrest Avenue near Terrace View Avenue.
They arrived to find a motorcyclist on the ground and requested a second engine and Antioch Police for traffic control.
According to Antioch Police, officers arrived on scene and it was determined that a 49 Year-Old San Francisco male was riding his motorcycle northbound on Hillcrest Avenue at a high rate of speed. The male lost control of his motorcycle and struck a tree in the center median of Hillcrest Avenue.
The male was transported to a local hospital in critical but stable condition. Alcohol or drugs do not appear to be a contributing factor in this collision.
