Antioch: Motorcycle Crash Shuts Down Wilbur Ave

At 7:08 am Thursday, Antioch Police and Contra Costa County firefighters responded to a report of a motorcycle crash on Wilbur Avenue in the City of Antioch.

It was reported as a motorcycle vs. big rig crash, however, open arrival, it was reported that the big rig driver drive up onto the crash scene and called it in.

A medical helicopter was requested and cancelled twice. The condition of the patient is unknown.

Police are investigating the crash where preliminary information available shows speed may be a factor and the motorcycle had around 700 miles on the bike.

The roadway was expected to be open by 8:00 am.
