Antioch Middle School Parents Alerted After an Attempted Abduction

by ECT

Little details were made available Wednesday morning after an attempted abduction of an Antioch Middle School student. As a precaution, the school sent out a warning to parents alerting them of the situation after a student was approached by a stranger.

Here is a copy of the notice:

This is Ms. Wahidi, Vice Principal of Antioch Middle School with an important safety announcement.

Today, a parent reported that their child was approached before school by an African American male. The msale was driving a white or gold SUV. The student ran onto the Antioch High School Campus and approached a staff member. The Antioch Police Department has been notified.

Please remind your children never to talk to strangers or to get in a car or leave with a stranger—even if he or she seems nice or says they are a friend of a family member.

We will continue to monitor the area around the school and will alert the police and parents should we observe anything suspicious.

Thank you, as always for your support in this matter.
