Antioch: Man Shot Several Times on W. 19th Street

A 37-year-old man was shot several times Thursday afternoon in Antioch and was taken to a local hospital.

At 2:18 pm Thursday, Antioch Police responded to gunshots while working a detail on the 600 block of W. 19th Street. The shots were heard down the street in the 400 block of W. 19th.

A short time later, a 37-year-old male was found in the 1900 block of D Street with several gunshot wounds to his upper body. The victim was immediately transported to a local hospital for treatment. He is listed in stable, but serious condition.

Police released no further details and said the incident is still under investigation.

Police stated around 3:30 pm while on scene, they did not have a shooter in custody.
