Antioch: Man Arrested for Water Tower Vandalism, Admits to 11 Other Locations

by ECT

On February 15 at 9:27 pm Antioch police officers were in the area of Fulton Shipyard Road on an unrelated incident when they spotted Adam Foster, 26 of Bethel Island, vandalizing a water tower with spray paint.

When officers attempted contact, Foster fled on foot. He was caught a short distance away. He admitted to cutting a fence to gain entry to the water tower and to spray painting the zodiac symbol for “Leo” on the tower.

Upon further questioning Foster admitted to tagging at least 11 locations in Antioch and Oakley. APD estimates the damage caused by Foster to be several thousand dollars.

Foster has no prior criminal history. Foster was taken to county jail where he was booked for felony vandalism.

I’ve seen his tags, they suck. I must say though I’d rather see his any day other than the lame ass gang “XIV” and “XIII” “RIP [insert Latino name]”.

We need more commissioned art around town to curb lame gang graffiti. Much like behind the Campanil Theater parking lot.

Kind of nice that we have our own super villain in east county.

Thank you so much APD! We need to prosecute these taggers.

I’m pretty sure all the endless amounts of litter, abandoned shopping carts, broken bike parts, beer cans, and other crap along Antioch’s roads is a lot bigger problem than some art on a wall.

You call that art. It’s graffiti and vandalism.

Chris, not all art is sanctioned by society. And not all art is appealing to everyone. Just because you find this guy’s medium of expression distasteful doesn’t mean it’s not art. Call it what you will.

Can they add a charge of criminal stupidity? This guy is a complete putz!

Way to go APD!! Wooo hooo!!! You caught a real bad guy there…. Keep up the good work!! Really??? For spray painting a zodiac sing on somthing that is othetwise plain and other wise not worth looking at???? Keep an eye out for these terrorists!!

Anon Too Feb 18, 2016 - 3:09 pm

Foster may not be a terrorist, but do you really want to look at all the crap these idiots spray everywhere? If they wanted to tag the front end of a moving train I probably wouldn’t mind.

You would rather the police just ignore a crime they saw happening. You would rather complain that the police caught a criminal and then complain when they don’t…. You would rather endorse a crime with “it was plain”. The police should stop by your home and give you an award for being the village idiot.

Have to start somewhere if he wants to paint so bad give him some paint and brush and he can go around the city with supervision covering all the graffiti since he has so much free time on his hands. The city should be using these people that they cite for stuff, use them for community service.

Spray painting and running from the cops at age 26? What a tool! I hope his mom grounds him and takes away his PlayStation.
